Facebook has four weeks to respond to a action class lawsuit filed on behalf of 25,000 European users over alleged privacy violations. If Facebook doesn’t respond within four weeks, the court could issue a ruling in their absence. Max Schrems, an Austrian law student is the main plaintiff in the case. Facebook could have to pay $16.5 million. Schrems accuses Facebook of working with the NSA on their PRISM program, “which minded the personal data of users of Facebook and other web services.”
